• Although we are an Australian-based Company, we have a global focus, as currently over 90% of our Sales are outside Australia.

Flavourtech Products – At a Glance

SPINNING CONE COLUMN

• Flavourtech is the original developer of the Spinning Cone Column (SCC) Technology, a unique distillation system with applications in aroma recovery, alcohol removal, deodourisation as well as flavour and soluble solids extraction.

CENTRITHERM® EVAPORATOR

• In September 2001, Flavourtech purchased the Centritherm evaporator business from TetraPak AB in Sweden relocating all manufacturing to the Australian Flavourtech factory in Griffith.
• Since then, there has been an ongoing development and improvement of the technology, product specifications, as well as the manufacturing procedures employed. This has led to the introduction of new models, new capabilities, and a significant increase in sales worldwide.

INTEGRATED EXTRACTION SYSTEM

• Following an extensive R&D effort, the Integrated Extraction System (IES) was developed based around the SCC and Centritherm evaporator technologies, to provide a completely automated and integrated continuous-flow solution for the processing of the highest quality beverages such as tea and coffee, currently available today.

ROTATING DISC COLUMN

• The Rotating Disc Column (RDC) is a continuous flow solid / liquid contacting device that allows precise control over contact conditions and time. It can be used to process clear liquids, slurries and suspensions. For example, it can be used to reduce the time taken for coffee extraction from its current 2.5 hours in traditional extraction cells to only 20 minutes residence time (compared to current times of 2.5 hours) while still achieving similar yields of soluble solid extraction.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

• In order to stay at the fore-front of product development, Flavourtech has two pilot plant facilities in Griffith, Australia and Reading, England. Both are equipped with our technologies and skilled technicians able to conduct trials for specific Customer requirements as well as on-going Product development.
